Hi Jack,
to be honest with you I'm unsure what to say as I have never heard of the re-shaping of the spinal curvature. What I do know is that your muscles going into contraction is a problem which needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
Are you aligned properly?
Standing in front of a mirror touch your hip bones with the tips of your fingers while the palms of your hands are facing upwards and flat. When you look in the mirror are your hands at the same height?
Is your navel in the middle of your body or has it shifted to one side at all?
What can sometimes happen is if the spine is misaligned the muscles around it contract to keep it steady and minimise the pain. If left for long enough this can feel 'normal' and lead to other problems.
To release the muscles you could try any of these or a mixture of Ibruprofin, Acupuncture, Reflexology and Hydrotherapy backed up with the muscle strengthening exercise mentioned above.
I'm no professional but I believe it will be down to muscle strengthening to put you on the road to recovery.
I hope this may help in some way.
Watch Your Back!
